“Small Miracles”
1991 "Small Miracles" premiered at the Angelica Film Center for the IFP Independent Feature Market, where it was well received with several development opportunities The film was completed with stipend via awards from Georgia Council on the Arts, Women in Film Atlanta, Georgia Public Broadcasting, Fulton County and City of Atlanta Cultural Arts Council. However it never received a theatrical released due to it’s length, after a successful festival run.
Until now.
With the advent of digital techniques, the preserved print will be transferred and new footage shot, continuing the saga of a family divided on child rearing and women’s emancipation, in the post world war America. The story is based on the life of my mother Maryann Pezone, and to whom the film is dedicated.

Filmmaker Toni Crey
Toni Crey, received a New York University Graduate Film and Television MFA in writing, editing, and directing. Her first project, Uptown, Local" based on Jim Carroll's "Basketball Diaries" starred Gina Gershon and D.B. Sweeney from the NYU Acting Department.
Toni’s credits include Supervising Producer of TBS series, “Super Scary Saturday”, filmed on location and at MGM Studios Orlando. NYU Thesis film "Rest Stop", premiered on A&E's "Short Stories", and was internationally broadcast in Europe. Grants from Georgia Council on the Arts, Fulton County on the Arts, IMAGE Film/Video and City of Atlanta, allowed Toni funded her next project, “Small Miracles”, and became a finalist in the Sundance Screenwriter's Lab, completed through national grants. Toni continues to work as a Local 161 Union Script Supervisor on features and television, between Atlanta and Los Angeles. |
